Our Story

Forty-three years on one continuous course

Navicella Investment Trust was entered on the Liechtenstein public register in 1982 and has remained active without interruption since. What follows is the part of that history the register makes public — and, deliberately, no more.

01 · Origin

A name chosen for what it means

Navicella is Italian for little ship — the vessel small enough to be steered closely and steady enough to cross open water. It is an unusually literal name for a trusteeship: the office of a trustee is navigation, not ownership. Assets are placed aboard by a settlor, held apart from the trustee’s own estate, and carried toward a destination the deed defines.

What the record shows

A trusteeship is measured in decades, not quarters. The public record for Navicella is short by design — that brevity is itself the point.

1982 — Formation

The trusteeship is constituted under Liechtenstein law and entered on the public register under number FL-0001.082.566-1, with its legal seat at Vaduz.

Decades of administration

The Trust remains continuously active on the register. Liechtenstein law does not require a trusteeship of this form to publish accounts, holdings or beneficiaries, and none have been published.

15 May 2009 — Last recorded change

The most recent modification recorded in the Handelsregister (entry 90515/2009, publication no. 20090275). The substance of the change was not published; only the fact of it is public.

Today

The Trust continues under the same register number, from the same domicile, with the same purpose.

On what is not here. You will not find assets under management, returns, client names or officer biographies on this site. For a Liechtenstein trusteeship none of these are public, and we would rather show an honest gap than an invented figure. Everything stated above can be checked against the register.

03 · Values

Four principles, held plainly

They are ordinary words. The discipline is in applying them when it is inconvenient.

Discretion

Confidentiality is a duty owed to the settlor and the beneficiaries, not a marketing posture. It survives the end of a mandate.

Continuity

A trusteeship outlives the people who set it up. Decisions are taken on a horizon measured in generations.

Stewardship

Trust assets are held separately from the trustee’s own estate and administered in the interest of the beneficiaries alone.

Independence

No product to place, no distribution agreement to satisfy. Advice is taken where it is needed and disclosed where it is relevant.
