Ten questions a diligence pack must answer

None of them are about your product. All of them will be asked before a term sheet becomes money.

Self-assessment

Are your statutory accounts current and filed?

Is your cap table complete, signed and reconciled?

Are all founder and employee equity documents executed?

Do you have twelve months of clean management accounts?

Is your revenue recognition policy documented and consistent?

Do you own your intellectual property outright, with assignments in place?

Are your key customer and supplier contracts signed and assignable?

Is your data protection position documented (GDPR or equivalent)?

Do you have a written, defensible use of proceeds?

Can you evidence the origin of previously raised funds?

Answer the questions to generate a score.

This assessment runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not transmitted, stored or logged. The weighting is a general heuristic drawn from ordinary diligence practice; it is not advice, not a prediction, and carries no implication that the Trust would participate in any raise.

How it works

Weighted, not counted

Items that most often stop a transaction carry more weight than items that merely delay one.

Title to the asset

Intellectual property assignments and a reconciled cap table carry the heaviest weight, because a defect in either can halt a transaction outright.

Provable history

Filed accounts and consistent management reporting are what convert your narrative into something an adviser can verify.

Provenance

Evidencing the origin of funds already raised matters to any regulated counterparty. It is a common and avoidable late-stage obstacle.

A high score is not an invitation.

The Trust does not solicit or accept unsolicited investment proposals.
