An indicative range, not a price

Any single valuation number for a private company is false precision. What can honestly be produced is a range and the assumptions that generated it.

This calculator runs entirely in your browser. No figure you enter is transmitted, stored or logged — the page makes no network request while you use it. The model is a simplified illustration of standard arithmetic and is not investment, tax, legal or lending advice, and not an offer. Real outcomes depend on contract terms, fees, taxes and your own circumstances. This model is a simplified heuristic and is not a valuation opinion, a fairness opinion, or any indication of a price at which the Trust would transact.

How it works

The model is deliberately visible

A base multiple adjusted for growth, then scaled by margin quality and retention quality. It is a teaching model, published so you can disagree with it.

Growth premium

Growth is the dominant driver of revenue multiples in practice, so it moves the multiple most here. The premium is capped to avoid absurd outputs.

Quality adjustments

Gross margin and net retention scale the multiple up or down. Revenue that is cheap to serve and does not churn is worth more per unit.

Why a range

The bounds shown are −25% and +30% around the base. Real private rounds disperse at least that widely on identical fundamentals.

Arithmetic is the easy part.

The judgement that matters is what you do with the answer.
